Introduction It's impossible to make a table that is less than 20 pixels in height -- or is it? Take a look at the table below. That table has an animation in it (used as a background). That table is 20 pixels in hight, the shortest possible table -- unless you use a "neat trick. |

Neat Trick Assign NO HEIGHT to the table. Paste one transparent GIF (invisible graphic) into the cell of the table. Use the GIF as a picture, not as a background. The table will collapse in height to match the height of the transparent GIF -- absolutely guaranteed, each and every time. However, this "hack" only works with tables that have one cell. We offer you transparent GIFs for download below. |
