Create an Easy Border

The easiest way to create an animated border for a banner is to use two tables and to use cell padding.

The tables below are examples. Ignore the colors of those two tables and their borders. We added color to help you see the tables.

Table 1. Cell padding of 3 pixels.

Table 2. A normal table.

To create a banner with a 3-pixel border, for instance, set table 1 (the green table) to have 3 pixels of cell padding.

Paste table 2 (the white table with a red border) into the center of table 1.

Center table 2. Set the width of table 2 to be 100%.

Give table 2 a background color, even if that color is just white.

This white color is table 2 inside of table 1. Table 1 constitutes a 3-pixel border (3 pixels of cell padding), which we colored green.

Use an animation as a background for table 1. And, if you want, set a width for the banner by setting a width for the outermost table (table 1) in pixels or percent. If you do NOT set a width for your banner, then set "no wrap" for the center cell in which your words are written.

Make Animated Lines

Lines are simple to make. Paste a flashing animation onto your page as a picture, not as a background. (Use web-maker software.)

Because the graphic is a picture, you may display it at any dimensions of width and height that you like.

If you use FrontPage, then you will find it easy to make animated lines. (You will find it easy, even if you don't use FrontPage.)

To set new "display dimensions" for your animation (using FrontPage), first select the animation with your mouse. Right click upon the selected graphic. A window will open. Choose "picture properties." Then select a new width and height for your animation. Make the animation "look" like an animated line.

Use just one of our little animations many times on one page. Make gigantic special effects that load at the speed of light.

Make Bullets

Step 1: Paste an animation onto your page.

Step 2: Use "picture properties" to display the animation at smaller than actual size. (Yes, you can do that with a picture on a web page.)

Step 3: Copy the animation and paste it wherever you like, as many times as you like.
